Today it is less reasoning and more chanting, which is much different from my early days in the house. From my experience, most of the brothers and sisters who now attend Nyabinghi prefer more chanting and less reasoning. If you try to have a reasoning, it ends up in a quarrel like a market house, which is not right in my father’s sight.

Now, if you say you are praising Emperor Haile Selassie and Empress Menen and when you participate in reasoning you start a quarrel, you are giving praise to the devil, which is not right.

There was a practice set when any Rasta who decided to walk out of a discussion would hear the words, “Fiya Bun Runaway.” These days those words are not uttered any more, man and man just go about their business.
